Greater than slavery that shackles wrists & ankles, is slavery of the mind. We all know the virtue of being presentable, but living for attention, recognition, compliments, acceptance & to be noticed by others cruel & often shameful slavery. Needing someone else's approval is a miserable existence.
The bible says, "he whom the son sets free, is free indeed". Jesus frees us not just from sinful deeds, but also from the emptiness & pain of insecurity & insignificance. Knowing you're accepted by God, liberates us forever from the daily, expensive torment of seeking to attract & need attention from others.
